For the trip in June of 2008 we shall be travelling to the South of France, staying in a hotel in a small village not far from Clermont L'Hérault which is a busy market town. We will spend time exploring this area which abounds in artistic venues including a Knights Templars village and the medieval town of Pézenas to name just two of the many places of interest. We are also near the Mediterranean, so we will make a trip there as there some nice painting areas there too.

The DesRochers know the areas we visit very well as they lived in the South of France for 10 years where they had a gallery prior to returning to Canada in 1987. We have visited Spain a few times in the past and have become familiar with the surrounding countryside and made a few friends in the process. They escort each trip, and Simon, a professional photographer, is also part of the team, giving valuable help to the photographers in the group.

In September 2008 we shall travel to Barcelona and then head north to a village on the Mediterranean where we will be staying in a family-run hotel right on the sea. There are many places to visit where both the artists and non-artists will find interesting. There are some lovely (easy) walks - you can walk to the next village along a wide safe pathway which hugs the side of the cliff, affording wonderful views at every turn.
